In 2024, my old friend Flaka Surroi offered me a weekly TV culture program on KOHA, the media company she directs. She thought it would be interesting for Albanians to see Kosovo's culture through the eyes of an American who lived here in the 1980s and 1990s and spoke Albanian. She called the show, "Amerikania Përsëri në Kosovë." ​​This has been such a gift, allowing me to explore parts of Kosovo I had never visited, and dive deeper into fascinating parts of Albanian culture. Above all, it allows me to share all this with Albanians in the Balkans and the diaspora, and with Americans and others new to Kosovo.
